All about Crowd Control
Thanks for visiting the blog, once dead and now resurrected!
I’ve been working in the MMO Industry for around 3 years now, and the massive growth of this industry and the ongoing lessons that we learn about designing virtual worlds and growing social communities is key to my personal and professional interests, so I hope to bring a unique perspective onto things even though there are some excellent blogs already covering these areas.
In particular I’ve been inspired by Tobold, Broken Toys, Kill Ten Rats and WoW Insider (if mainly for the sheer volume and passion of their contributors) and if you havn’t checked out all of those yet then hit my blogroll you won’t regret it!
My main sphere of interest is the customer support on MMO’s and it’s implementation by the development team, so I intend to compare policy choices and philosophical approaches by the major MMOs as well as covering specific topics of relevance as they occur. I can’t (and won’t) discuss anything specific about my workplace so anything I say must be considered biased, but as long as you like your blogs with a pinch of salt I think I can bring something to the table.
Hope you find something of interest, feel free to leave a comment!
